CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ACTIVITIES (General Information) Children's Ministry • Children's Worship (4 & 5 year olds during regular worship hour) • Vacation Bible School Youth Ministry • Senior High (second and fourth Sundays, 12:30 - 2pm) • Junior high (fourth Sunday, 12:30 - 2pm) WPC is also part of the denomination's National Presbyterian Youth Connection which includes opportunities to connect with other Presbyterian Youth in our area and throughout the country through Mission Projects, camps and conferences. WPC youth ministry includes opportunities for recreation, fellowship, Bible Study, worship and mission. • Confirmation classes • Youth Sunday Adult Ministry • Seasonal small group ministries • Wednesday Night education classes Family Ministry • Family Advent Celebrations • Sunday School (Sunday mornings at 9:30am, for all ages) • Rally Day/ Back to School Sunday SUNDAY CLASSES KOINONIA CLASS The Koinonia Class (K - Class) is an intergenerational class that enjoys an informal, conversational form of Biblical study. Topically, the class curriculum is diverse and usually involves a work of non-fiction literature. Topics range from Biblical history to political and social/moral issues to scholarly exegesis of the Bible, as well as comparative religious studies. FAITH AND FAMILY CLASS The “Faith and Family” class centers around relaxed discussion and community formation. Family is at the heart of community formation as our families are our primary community. Participants seek answers to some of the complexities we find in our immediate and extended family relationships as well as our relationship with Christ. It is a place where we can exchange thoughts about how God is leading us in a unique way. ADULT BIBLE CLASS The Adult Bible Class uses the Bible as a basis for all their study. Bible commentaries by various authors are discussed. Various levels of bible knowledge from novice to years of study come together for the enrichment of all. WEDNESDAY CLASS Bible Explorations Leader: Rev. Karl Schwarz When: Wednesday Nights at 5:30p.m. in Room 102 What: Bring your Bible’s from home so we can discuss different styles, translations, notes, aids and how to use them. The class will then move into a survey of the Old Testament- timelines, themes, tones and concepts.
